News updates, and a tentative release date

Legion: It is pretty darn weird, isn't it? Has it really been that long? The truth is that in the years after the initial release, there was a repeated loop of very disheartening "Back to square one!" events, which only came to a halt when the indomitable SGCN volunteered his services as mapmaker. I can scarcely praise him enough - without SGCN, there would be no revamp of Act I at all... or future projects for that matter, it would seem. = ) As for Act II, there is a demo floating around, though I don't think it will be really "compatible" (referring to the save file) with the revamped Act I. I kinda hope you do check out the revamp, even if there is yet another remake of Act I some day. = D

Benos: Aha! Well I can't make any promises, but we'll see how it goes. Earlier in the month might be better then later, if I actually get to choose. = )

Benos: The 4th, eh? Any particular reason? = )

Legion: Why, heya Legion! What seems to be confusing you?

Love and War: Act I

Howdy, littlebro! Sorry to hear about the problems you're encountering... It sounds like the movement speed has gotten lowered at some point (and I'd bet it has something to do with Ozunhold, sigh). If you could e-mail me your save file, I'd be able to fix that. Not sure what is going on with the mini-game, but I hope resetting the speed would help to mitigate that.

I wonder, I wonder indeed...

Love and War: Act I

Ah, glad you managed to make it past that glitch, Farfetched. :)

Love and War: Act I

Farfetched: Do you mean the length of Act I? It depends on a number of factors, but overall it's probably several hours at least.

Hey, just wanted to drop by and say I absolutly love your game. I actually registered an account here just to drop by and let you know how much I loved it. any idea how long it will take you to finish act 2? I found your thread about it but neither of the links provided take me to the right site O_o

Hiya Rekitsu, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Act I! I do appreciate you taking the trouble to let me know. = ) The LAW website can now be found here: http://antioch.snow-fall.com/law/ (We've moved a fair amount over the years, heh...) Future LAW updates will always go up there!

Natsu_Luffy: Glad I could help. Ah, poor, poor Lavie...

Ichimaru_Gin: Nice to hear it! I agree, it definitely isn't a perfect game. The new version of Act I won't be perfect either, but I hope it'll be an improvement and a half.

farfetched: If it's the bug I'm thinking of, it probably won't go away... Replied to your PM, hopefully we can get that sorted. = )

Try having a look in some of the houses in Alton.

LAW is looking for a few testers!

Ah, I haven't heard of your testing skills before, but I'm sure you're very good. :) 10 days isn't quite right though, as I was hoping Wave 1 would essentially be complete before the end of June. So, up to thirty days. It does sound like you'd be better suited for Wave 2 or 3, so when I ask for Wave 3 testers, let me know then. = )

It would be an honour..! I think I still have my saved game somewhere the first time I played it, to transfer to that Act 2 demo you released Admiral... haha :-D

Haha, excellent! As a side note, I should point out that I'm pretty sure the end-save for this revamp will not work with the old demo. Too much has changed since then. So indeed, save your old save files (that sounds weird) if you want to continue with the Act II demo. :)

What kind of time constraints do you have set on this?

Hmm... While I don't want to be unreasonable, completing the testing in a timely fashion would be ideal. A few weeks, up to a month, would be the time frame I'm considering. It sounds like that may not work for you, which is unfortunate. :(

Nessiah: Thank you kindly. = ) (Whatever happened to that commission? :'( )

emmych: Heyyy, I remember you! Glad to see you found your way over to RMN. = ) Indeed, your testing skills would be much appreciated!

Phew, I'm glad I managed to find some testers. I was a little worried no one would be interested, or that they'd only want a slot in "Wave 3" (that was the response from nearly everyone I initially contacted! Oh dear...). Emmych and JayEsz666, please send an e-mail my way (ofloveandwar AT hotmail.com) and I'll send you a link to the file.

(As a side note, does anyone know what happened to EdChuy? I actually sent him a PM several months ago asking if he'd be interested in beta testing, and never got a response, and he hasn't posted in ages...)
